  • Rt GPU distributed rendering crash

I'm having trouble getting my distributed renderers going. I'm working in a pretty simple scene and when I run RT in CUDA locally on my machine it's fine, I have a GTX 560TI, When I use distributed rendering to one of my servers that is running a GTX 580 I get "Vray standalone has stopped working" error on that machine. This happens frequently. The 580 driver is 8.17.12.9573. Any suggestions.

    Hi kellyctv,

When using DR for RT GPU you have to make sure of several things:
    * You have to start the render slaves physically or via VNC, TeamViewer, LogMeIn or similar, because using Remote Desktop launches a virtual driver and DR for RT GPU won't work
    * There has to be a monitor plugged in the graphics card of the remote machine (or anything plugged) so it will think a signal is transmitted
    * The render slave has to be started manually and not as a service

I hope this answers your questions and you'll successfully get it up and running!

    Best regards,

      Yolov,

I was logging with remote desktop, and that was the problem. You are awesome. Thank you.
