  • // Warning: [SettingsPNG] No image writer specified. etc...

    Hi There,

Im getting a problem when clicking the IPR button to innitiate RT rendering. The console errors I get are these. Do you know what may be causing this to happen?

    Im running Linux 64bit,
Maya version: 2011 (same happens on 2013)
    vray version: 2.25.01-20121120

// Warning: [SettingsEXR] No image writer specified. //

// Warning: [SettingsJPEG] No image writer specified. //
// Warning: [SettingsPNG] No image writer specified. //
// Warning: Could not use any of the selected (0) hosts for distributed rendering! // <------this is odd as distributed rendering is turned off in the globals.

This terminal output is perhaps more useful...
The vray framebuffer just returns a black image and doesnt appear to render anything

IPR always works in DR mode, using a render server running on the same macine. V-Ray will attempt to automatically launch the render server, but sometimes this fails. Can you tell me whic OS you are using?

      Best regards,
      Vlado

Sorry, just saw it's Linux. In that case you can just try to run the slave manually.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

It seems using a newer build has fixed this. Thanks for the help Vlado.
