  • Phoenix FD liquid not updating in RT sequence rendering

This sometimes work and often does not.
Make a Phoenix FD liquid sim. Render one frame and everything looks fine.
Render a sequence and Rt only renders the starting frame of simultion on each frame.

I'm pretty sure i had this issue with pflow too.
    Something i'm missing?

Hello, we are having a look at this. Which versions of phoenix and V-Ray do you use? Also, max or maya?

      -Max
-I was using the nightlies from 04.02.2014.
      -Phoenix 2.10.10

Today I installed the official vray 2.40.04 build and everything worked fine! So perhaps it was just nd issue with the nightlies
      Thanks

Hey, is it possible for you to attach a scene where this happens? Couldn't reproduce the issue with any of our test scenes, so must be something specific to the scene or settings that causes it.

Hey, the fix is in today's V-ray 3.0 nightly, and you need today's phoenix nightly too. If you don't have access to the nightly builds, a workaround will be to disable "Show mesh" in phoenix's "preview" rollout. Actually this option was taken into account for RT rendering, which was wrong. Now only the "Mode" option in the "Rendering" tab controls the render mode.
              Thanks for the report!
