Vray RT in Maya Consistent crashes in viewport render

Hi, I'm testing Vray 3.05 beta with Maya 2014. I've had numerous crashes with Vray RT even in the simplest scenes after I turn off RT. Something as simple as selecting a Vray light causes Maya to crash, but only AFTER I turned off RT, not during...

I created a very simple Maya scene (which I can send to you if you want) to try to recreate the crash scenario. But first, I tried switching from CPU to GPU CUDA mode, which caused a fatal error.



Next, I closed Vray command prompt window to restart Vray RT. No problems, but this time, after I turned off RT and selected my only vray light in the scene, Maya hung for a moment before crashing. I've become used to this crash whenever I use Vray RT in the Maya viewport.
