VrayRT [cuda] crash with Gtx 970
Hi,
Please find attached a crash log report when trying to use VrayRT GPU cuda 2.50.01 on a new GTX 970 with max 2010. So disappointment that I am not able to use RT GPU after finally getting a Nvidia card. AMD cards just never seemed to work with RT GPU so I decided to get one I expected would work. [not mad at chaos group-just the GPU driver/software system of constant changes/updates]
I understand it's not easy for chaos group as the gpu drivers constantly change, but it would be great to have some sort of list where you could see which drivers are required by the different GPU's to work. [At least the more modern and common ones] From my experience with RT [since the beginning] it seems very hit and miss with GPU drivers and all the different cards. It's also VERY painful to have to change GPU drivers all the time and can cause issues in other programs. I also feel it's not the customers job to find out what version works with what card as apart from the time aspect, it is very, very frustrating
Hope the attached crash log can help as I am so keen to try using RT some more and make the upgrade to Vray 3.0 but stability and usability are very important things for me to consider. I hope it's just a case of a quick-fix with a new GPU driver??
Thanks again for your time & help
