  • GTX Titan cuda vs cpu = same speed in maya??

I think I must have something set incorrectly because RT seems to render objects at more or less the same speed whether it's set to "CPU" or "CUDA (Single kernel). (or opencl for that matter).

At first I thought it must be reverting back to cpu rendering so I added hair to the scene and tried again. With cpu it rendered the hair but with cuda it didn't, so presumably they are different.

Am I doing something stupid? Or am I expecting too much from a titan?

What is the CPU and GPU utilization during the rendering with V-Ray RT (CPU and CUDA)?
Have you got the same behavior on every scene or just on particular one?
What is the exact modification of the GTX card and what version is the installed drivers?

      Hi Svetlozar

Thanks for getting back to me. I'll get that extra information as soon as possible. Problem is, RT seems to have stopped working completely now. I've posted another thread about the new problem.
