  • CUDA error 700

    Hello
I have GeForce GTX 770 on my workstation, everything was working perfectly with RT GPU. Once i loaded another scene and VRay started to show me CUDA error 700 for some reason. I decided to update driver to latest one - error is still here... ANy ideas what should i do ? I am doing a lot of modelling / materials and RT GPU really helps a lot in that..
    Thanks.

Which V-Ray version are you using ? Make sure it is 3.20.03 for Max or 3.10.01 for Maya.
Also, if the issue happens only on one scene, it will be really helpful if we can take a look at it. You can send it to support@chaosgroup.com (with link to this thread). If it is too big, the guys from the support will give you credentials to upload it on our ftp server (and they can sign NDA if it is needed).
      Thanks.

        Thanks for your reply.
Yeah i am using 3.20.03 and Max 2014. Scene is pretty simple actually , a model and HDR. I will ask at the office if i'm allowed to send the scene tomorrow.

            Thanks for the scene.

We managed to reproduce the issue into our environment - it is considered as a bug and sent to our Developers Team for fixing.

We will let you know when we have some updates on that matter.

The reason it crashes is because it runs out of mem since the HDR texture(plugged into Environment/GI/Refl/Refr etc) occupies a lot of Vram because of a few bugs which will be resolved as soon as possible.
As for now please resize this texture to a lower resolution and the scene should be rendered fine.

We'll keep you posted when we have some progress with the bug-fixing.

                  Thanks, Svetlozar.
Actually i thought that textures are being resized automatically during loading , that's what log said to me.

We only do this for material textures; for environment textures we don't seem to resize them.

                    Best regards,
