  • Cuda error 716

    hi Guys,
just installed a brand new Nvidia Geforce 980Ti and I'm not able to render any scene with it in CUDA mode.
Normally the error I get from RT is Cuda Error 716.
I've installed the latest drivers from NVIDIA and I'm working with V-ray 3.20.02
It happens even with simple scenes like a box and a plane without shaders on them.
Do you've any information about this issue?
    Thanks!

Latest nVidia drivers (after 350.12) are behaving really strange with our kernel using Maxwell GPUs.
We have reported that to nVidia, they have fixed some of the problems (fixes coming in the future driver releases, as far as I know) and are working on the others.
In the meanwhile, I think we have managed to workaround all the known issues with V-Ray 3.20.03. You just need to update and it will be okay.
This should be explained here as well http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3/GPU+Rendering.
    V-Ray fan.

      Hi Taskov,
yes now with V-ray 3.20.03 it works fine.
I'm doing some tests and it doesn't crash.
I'll keep you updated if something goes wrong again.

      Thanks again.

      All the best,

      Gianpiero
