  • VrayDistanceTex makes RT unstable, crashes RT

It seems that RT is unstable when there's VrayDistanceTex in the scene. Either the frame buffer won't update the VrayDistanceTex effect or RT will completely crash with only solution being to close Max completely and run it again. Max and Vray version same as signature. No plug-ins are used.

Attached are a screenshot and the scene for testing. Open the scene, start rendering with RT and try enabling the FFD modifier. You'll notice that the frame buffer won't update the VrayDistanceTex effect, only the geometry deformation. Then click the red stop button to stop the render. An error will appear in the Vray message window. Close the frame buffer and start the RT render again. An "unrecoverable error" will appear in the message window, suggesting to restart Max.

It's easily reproducible, thanks for the report !
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
