  • GCE and CUDA Error 500

    Hello,
I've set up a Renderfarm on Google Compute Engine and now wanted to implement some GPU based Render nodes. So I set up a vm with one Kepler K80 installed nessessary drivers etc. and then started a render job with a very simple teapot scene.

Now I keep getting the error

    [V-Ray] ./src/ocl_tracedevice.cpp(3452) : CUDA error 500 : a named symbol was not found.

    Any Idea whats going on?

I'm trying to render with the latest Vray RT and Backburner under Windows server 2012 with the latest Nvidia Drivers. Vray-RT is set to "CUDA".

    Thanks,
    -Robert

Sorry for not replying here sooner, the Problem was that I didn't install the "CUDA Toolkit" just the driver.

Standalone works splendidly on Google Compute engine. Currently Rendering something with 24 Tesla K80 cards.

      Thanks
