Denoiser effects result not saving.

SO I know there used to be some malarky about using the stand alone denoiser for animation, but I thought we were past that?

I am rendering something wtih vray RT, I want to denoise it, and save that final result down as the one output frame I am saving. The normal output. It works in VRAY ADV but doesn't seem to be working now.

The element is set to

HIDE DENOISER RESULT
SINGLE PASS RGB ONLY
ALL POSSIBLE DENOISING ELEMENTS

With VRAY RT that just did it's business and then saved the final result in the file - why aint it doing the same now?

What kind of file format are you saving to? Also, you are using V-Ray RT as a production renderer, right?

Yes, I was using vray RT as the production renderer - same settings between them both, except vray ADV saves any file with the denoising complete, and vray RT doesn't.

File in this case was JPG or PNG.

When i am doing previews for clients, the denoiser is helpful, but I haven't set up a full post production pipeline so I might just use jpgs.
