  • Parity with Global Switches from CPU

    Hi Team

It would be great if we could get similar settings in the GPU Global Switches, that we have in the CPU Global Switches

For example sometimes for projects, in addition to regular rendering, we do stylized renders, and with CPU, we switch of shadows, glossy effects etc. With GPU, we cant currently do that.
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

    Hi Morne

Do you guys use the new material override system in 5.2 ?
It should be able to achieve similar results, let me know if this is helpful to your workflow

And for Look-dev there are useful debug shading modes in the frame buffer, which I use all the time.
About the switches, many of these are very old and date back to V-Ray 2 ,list to me the ones that you are interested to use. I will check with the developers how hard these are to support on GPU

    Best,
    Muhammed

We need all of these as well as combination of them:
      Shadows OFF
      Glossy Effects OFF
      Textures OFF

We use it together with multiple simultaneous VRayToon Environment Effects, as well as the VRayToon Render Element
      Kind Regards,
      Morne
