  • Vray Light Material Tempeture with Texture

    Hello,

We recently switched from the Octane render engine to the Vantage application. Since OSL is not supported by Vantage, we applied the fake interior texture files from wParallax to a box as a material. The problem is that sometimes some of the interior scenes in our project appear too white. When we were using the Octane render engine, we could solve this with a single click by adjusting the temperature parameter inside the light material. I have shared an example of the parameter and results in the images below. However, after applying the wParallax textures to the V-ray light material in the V-ray render engine, I cannot achieve this temperature difference in the final image with a single parameter.

In the V-ray render engine, I tried combining two V-ray light materials using the blend material in the general material section. I set the temperature value of the second material to 3500 Kelvin by using V-ray color and then multiplied it with the main material. However, I got a very hazy result and couldn't achieve the desired image.

Finally, I activated the Color map section in the VrayBitmap part of the V-ray light material to which I applied the wParallax texture. By adjusting the RGB values and increasing the RGB level, I got closer to the desired result. However, this means I would have to repeat the same process for dozens of different materials. Honestly, trying to adjust colors in the color map is quite tedious. Could you suggest another way to solve this with a single parameter?

        Hi tag_designlab,

You can use a Composite map (after the OSL texture) and VRayColor as a new layer with a Multiply blend mode for example:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lx7...ew?usp=sharing Please tell me if it works for you.

        Best regards,
