  • Draw Region in Activeshade FB

    First: Wonderful, incredible product.

I think it has a greater positive impact on my workspeed as even the introduction of Vray itself back in 2004. I am not wasting any more thoughts on Hypershade or the Modo renderer.
I am kneeing before you, mighty gods of the most capable raytracer on this planet. Serious.

But, is it really so hard to implement cropping of the render region inside the Activeshade VFB?
On greater indoor-scenes even Vray RT breaks down with updating the whole FB.
Yes, I know I can hide a lot to make it faster, but i want to see my whole scene, even it the reflections/reflactions.

I just noticed some inconsistencies with the Sub-surface scattering with the normal VRayMat between VRay and VRay RT.

You just set the start of one of the greatest products in CGI history, please keep it up.
    Valentin

...forget Warp 9, engine-room please switch to Vray-speed...

    Thanks for the kind words

About the region rendering, I've already made a note for this, and we'll definitely implement it.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

      from the help file

The sub-surface scattering options in VRayMtl. Support for these will be added in an update.
