I haven't bought VRayRT but i've tested it, so here is my wishlist:
(*) Ditch Max's activeshade UI, roll your own and add the ability to: a) resize the window; b) zoom in and out with mouse wheel, rendering at this new resolution (it would act like blowup does); c) pan with middle mouse button. This would bring it into line with what FPrime is capable of, and is especially useful for zooming right into the detail and tweaking it without having to do a crop of a full-size render and noticing those little artefacts only when you've done a big render.
(*) Additionally, add quick toggles (reflection, refraction, etc.) to above mentioned custom UI/FrameBuffer, as well as quality sliders.
(*) Support at least the HSV and map slots of the non-native color correct plugin.
And here are my thoughts:
(*) The fact that it doesn't support third party procedurals is fine. I like the idea of VRay RT being a preview renderer and not a production renderer, so something that mimics them is good enough.
(*) As I said, VRay RT being a preview renderer is great, because ChaosGroup can focus on speed and useability rather than trying to perfectly match VRay output.
