  • Update on layer hide/show / Max CAT

    I usually work a lot in max layers, but RT doesn't update accordingly with the layer manager/viewport. It ignores layer visiblity, and renders everything.

    That's something for your next minor update Chaosgroup


    I've also had a few issues with max2010 CAT and RT. I had to manually shut down RT and restart it in Activeshade, before it'd render the actual bone-boxes. It also ignores animation done in CAT. Regular object animation it updates, but CAT animation, nuh-uh. the viewport updates, not RT.


    Other than that, damn fine work Chaosgroup I absolutely love this little thing!


    *EDIT*

    Seems as if it does take layers into account, but ONLY if I close Activeshade and restart it.

    Yep, I've noted down the layer visibility issue and it will be corrected.

    Do you have a scene for CAT that you can send to vlado@chaosgroup.com for inspection? I know there were some problems with the Physique modifier, perhaps the CAT issue is of the same kind.

      hey vlado

      I've "fixed" the non-update-able CAT character. I've used the skin mod over a stack of edit-poly's. I tried removing it and collapse it all, then re-apply the skin mod.

      that actually did the trick. It seems RT has issues with mod stacks. I had at least 5-6 edit-poly's in it, along with 2 symmetry mods.collpasing it all made RT update correctly again.
