  • Upport for VrayEdgesTexture in RT GPU

    We often use VrayEdgesTex as a quick and dirty way to add a shine/edge to the edges of geometry. This works fine in RT CPU, but not in RT GPU.

    As RT GPU is so much faster, can VrayEdgesTex support be added?

    Yes, but it will cost you additional RAM on the GPU - we need to store the edge visibility flags for the meshes, so that quads look like quads, for example.

      My edge tex still show triangled faces on quads in rt, is this fixed now?

        This definitely gets my vote too. A round corners feature would be very nice.
        Is there any chance to get support for the EdgesTex map in RT GPU?

          +1! This would be great for RT GPU with 12 gig+ video cards now memory shouldn't hold RT GPU back these days.

              I use this like crazy now!...saves me so much time in making Revit geometry look better. I add it on top of the bump with a composite map.

              Would be awesome to see this in RT GPU.

                Have added it as a feature request in our system. Hope it will be not so difficult to be implemented. However, lot of video memory should be available in order to use it without issues.
