  • Ambient Light/AO

Now that the ambient light works with RT, what's still missing is support for the dirt map.
What I really want is ambient occlusion. Maybe there's another way to support that without dirtmap? It even works in the max viewports, to some degree.

What do you plan to use it for? E.g. in a VRayAmbientLight, in a material, or somewhere else?

It is not a particular problem to support it, but the results might be different from the production renderer, depending on how you use the dirt texture. F.e. if you use it as the Mix amount in a Mix texture - it is not possible to calculate the same result in a progressive way.

      Best regards,

yeh, either in the light map slot of the ambient light or in a material. support for ao effects in vray rt would be helpful. maybe a warning could pop up when you start using mix texture?
