  • Light Cache when DR is not shared

It seems to me, when rendering RT with GPU and you DR, each machine makes its own LC map. So if the machine I DR is slower than my main machine, then the slaves GPUs are not being used until the LC is complete. It also seems to me that the slave is doing LC maps twice? Because it comes to an end and then it calculates the LC map again? I may be wrong on this. Then I see that once my main machine has started the rendering process, the slaves are slower in calculating the LC and so it may be minutes before their GPUs start being used. I know in VRay Adv this was taken care of in 3.3, so it would be awesome if the same solution is implemente in the RT GPU world. Perhaps a question is why not use BF + BF? I'm concerned that the noise level is still very high, and until I see the denoiser, this may not be an option. But I'm open to any suggestions.

Yes, we will do that for the RT engine too.

    Best regards,
