  • Triplanar Scale

Is there any way to adjust the scale when using triplanar mapping with a VrayScannedMtl?
I'm Using Maya 2018.5 and Vray Next (4.04.02).

    Cheers, Florian

Yes, the triplanar gives in account the scale of the provided uv transform, but in a bit different way compared to the explicit mapping.
When you use explicit mapping, the recommended pipeline is to use the UV adjustment tool, that calculates the proper U and V tilling factors (multipliers) that would produce the natural material appearance in the given scene units.
With the triplanar mapping the natural material scale appears at tilling factor 1 for both U and V. If you need to magnify the material use value below 1, if you need to shrink it use value above 1
