  • Vray Maya Scan looking too dark.

    Hi guys.
We are testing Vray Scan materials for Maya. Not sure what I am doing wrong but just by adding the CarPaintGrey_1 scan shader to a simple sphere looks like the shader is not working properly.

Please see attached image, on the left Sphere with regular carPaint shader, on the right Sphere with Scan CarPaint. One are light thatsĀ“it.

    Any ideas ?
    Using VrayMaya 3.40.05
    Many Thanks.

to be sure that we really have a problem, we need to clarify two questions
    1. would you confirm that the material is this one
    2. how it looks with white environment. the images on the site are rendered with white environment, we can't compare your result with the reference if the environment is black

      Hi Alex,

Can you please also contact us on vrscans@chaosgroup.com, we will provide access to the latest stable nightly build for V-Ray for Maya. Please check your setup against the new build and let us know whether the issue still exists.
      Cheers.
