  • Mirror?

So new to vrscans (really blushing here for being sooo not up to date) and the idea and technology looks so impressive!

I hope you also make a short documentary on how you actually do this. The scanning, programming, etc. since the materials also have reflections and other features.

But was wondering about the mirror material in the library. Hm...what's the point in that and what do you actually scan there? Maybe I don't still understand it all. Will that material be better than the one I make using vrmtl?

i even didn't know about this material, perhaps the point is to show the surface features, represent in all the real objects, they are not perfect, scratches, roughness such things

Yes, and maybe also that double reflection that every mirror gives - one from the metal surface, one from the glass. But still...how do you "scan" that just interested in the idea behind it all.

the scanning device is limited, we can't scan materials with thick transparent parts, like the glass in front of the mirror.
