Idea: Request section for most needed materials

Dear VrScans-Team,
is it possible to have a wishlist section here, similar to the one in the V-Ray section? The idea is that users can request scanned materials, which are then taken into the library.

Let me make the start:

- Brushed aluminium (as found on many car interiors)
- perforated leather with soft padding (I know there already is a perforated leather, but it doesn't look as soft as the one I am talking about)
- needle felting and carpeting for floor mats in cars, trunk lining etc.

not bad idea, we will consider it , just to add that would be better if the suggestions contain images
about the aluminium, i'm sure we have several already scanned samples, surprised that is not present in the library

thanks for the replay. Nice to hear that there are already scanned samples of brushed metals. We need these quite often, and to make the shader convincing is often quite a challenge. Looking forward to the release in the library, so I can try them out. By the way, how often does the library get updated, is there a fixed schedule?

Regarding the other materials, here are some examples.

1: Perforated leather with padding, often found on steering wheels. The holes are softer, wider and deeper the usual.



2: Carpeting for floor mats or trunk linings in cars



3: "Needle felting", also found on floor mats or in trunks



4: Alcantara, often found on car seats



If you need any samples, please tell me. Maybe we can arrange something.

Have to say that I really like the VrScans so far, for me they are working great!

Hey Olliver,

Thanks for the great feedback. We will search for some similar materials and update the library.
As to the library updates, we plan to have three or four updates this year every 3 or 4 months, so we are planing a new update in March/ April now.
