My first post and hopefully it will prove a helpful one…
take a look at http://www.archive3d.net/ it’s got a very large selection of free models (some considerably better than others) but I find it usually has something that will do the job

is there any way to use the models from the 3d archive site in rhino?

yes, they download as 3ds format. so just import the 3ds file into rhino and you have it.
