It is one of my old projects that i am rendering in free time.Here i have done some trial renders. Please suggest how can i improve it. It’s my third project in Enscape
:sketchup:
@Hamza_Khan , a warm welcome to our Forum.
Could you briefly re-upload or re-attach the renderings of yours? It seems they were not added properly before so we cannot see them yet. Thank you!
@Demian_Gutberlet , Thank You so much
should i edit in this same thread ?
Yeah you can! ![]()
@Demian_Gutberlet is it okay now?
To me the big flat reflective surfaces look a bit unrealistic.. I mean depends what You intended.. Myself I am very often in situation when our architects deliberately ask me to model something which is not doable in reality.. but looks nice on paper.. as engineer I hate it.. We have all the staff that help us design better and we use it to cheat the reality better..
I would add some window frames.. some joint lines on the front panels.. usually more details => better render.. doesn’t look so flat.. maybe some imperfections on the panel texture.. or very slight displacement.. the reflection is extremely flat..
Still depending on what do You aim for.. In my office realism is not high on the list..
@tomasz_drgas
Thank You so much for your suggestion. Can i ask for a white building render that clears up your point effectively… I mean like how do I make it more realistic and calm, plus how should i deal with the glass panel reflections…like i get one point of yours that more details more better renders.. if u can guide with example video links or render, i’ll be very grateful!
About glass reflections.. I can not see to many in Your windows.. maybe because You usually reflect a pretty clear sky.. note that usually when You see a glass elevation it is clouds reflecting in it or otherwise it is pretty monotone and you recognise it is glass when You move pass it.. no glass is absolutely clear or transparent.. add some tone 5% even 10% opacity. I add sometimes some imperfections to reflections texture.. it helps noticing that there is something rather than nothing..
Here You can see actually other things reflecting in it.. Im not great renderer myself.. But the Ivy here I’m proud of..
Widow frames are done like this..
without caring to much for detail… as You can see in this corner
This is the sKetchup material I used for this glass.. (version 22) I can actually give You model if You want to have a look..
A2 glass.zip (2.74 KB)
For panels I add usually some simple texture.. like this if I want to have lines in one direction..
Dead simple but improvement compered to flat surface.. if You want it to be extra soft You can actually add it only tu bump..
Or something like this.. I made myself but works pretty well
@tomasz_drgas
Thanks alot! All these suggestion and materials will help me to improve surely.
Appreciate your help!
Materials are from the category called BTN “Better Than Nothing”.
Not really a high end Render.
Do You know what to do with the *.skm file?
@tomasz_drgas
Thank you again
and yes i know how to use skm files and surely will post the renders again with improvement soon!
