Animated light multiplier doesn't work with VrayDeadline submitter

The title pretty much says it…
I noticed this issue with one of my scenes, so i set up a simple test scene with a rubber toy and a rectangle light where i animated the light multiplier up and down over a couple of frames. Then i submittet it to deadline using the VrayDeadline submission node and the scene stays dark.

I generally wonder what the idea is behind the submission node (which we use extensively) not outputting seperate .vrscene sequences any more… Large Scenes can take ages to export and it was allways quite convinient to be able to export a specific frame if there was an issue with it.

I hope this can be fixed soon… many thanks!

This is odd, it does not work for me when I animate the light in houdini session and run it via ipr - the image does not change brightness when I scrub the timeline, but it does render correctly in deadline. Which vray/houdini version are you using?

Im using…

- Houdini 21.0.512
- Vray 7.20.10

Did you use the VrayDeadline Submitter ROP-Node?

Yes we however export on the farm so it shouldn’t matter since the hython opens the hip file per frame and evaluates it’s state then saves the .vrscene (on per frame basis)
