Animation of Metro train

Sweet! Finally some animation here  Looks fine, a little bit more reflections here and there but it’s already a pleasure to look at.

The end is great  Wish more Archviz vids would be like that

Wow awesome work, (and now my FAQs) what is your render times and how many pc’s used and is this PT+PT or you used a cached HD

1.5-3 Hours per frame on i-7 2600. Used 16 PCs. PT+HD.

How many years did you render

~2000 Render-Hours for all. On 16PCs it was 6 Days.

For some reason I can’t see the animation.

Could you post the link?

ta

Great and clean render !
i do archviz animation to at work but i can show you the result

Awesome work! Better screenplay than in most hollywood movies.

I like Corona and V-Ray’s rendertimes with this scene was at least the same.

Yeah you tell him!

“Corona fan boy”

Looks great. If it were me I’d throw some reelsmart motion blur on it in After Effects and possibly some subtle optical flares. Then it would honestly be hard to tell if it were cg or real in some shots. Nice set up with those PCs, very jealous.

You’re right. There was a few boring things during this project (like no solution to remove noise from overbrighted areas in DoF and MB). But the process much more friendly to artist than V-Ray’s. Some things are missing in Corona at the moment (like no render elements thru glass or matte material). But it is great pleasure to use Corona.

I wonder if you tried adaptivity.

You’re right. At the end of project (the last camera) I had to use progressive mode render with adaptivity. I was the solution, but noise still was there. :frowning:

I was just curious because it’s almost never mentioned on the forums and I think it can speed up stuff in some cases.

Thats really great, did you manage the frames by time or quality?, like your top was 200 passes or something like that?

You are Right

Render was set to 100 passes in most shots so times varied.
