Are Proxy Objects Supported?

Greetings;

I have previously used the wonderful proxy object feature in Vray while using Viz. Is there proxy object support in the SketchUp version of Vray?

Currently proxy objects are not supported. I believe proxys were just released as part of the Vray SDK. I believe it is something that we are looking into in the future, but we don’t have any explicit plans to have it for SketchUp/Rhino. I agree that it is a very useful feature as we use it quite often with our work with Max.

Proxies have been the SDK for a while - I just haven’t finished implementing them yet. I got distracted working on distributed rendering and a couple other features like displacement / per-object environments. I would like to get the proxies in before the official VfS 1.0 release though.
