Asset library - place asset - default

Hi,

When placing an object (Revit) from the asset library, there are 3 options:

place asset on active workplane (default)

place asset on surface

surface link revit family to asset

Is there a way to make ‘place asset on surface’ default?

And if not, would it be an option to add this?

@Eleanor_2 , welcome to our Forum - Currently, it is not possible yet to set a default placement method, but I have gladly filed that as a dedicated feature request for you. Thank you for the feedback!

There’s a creative workaround: navigate to this folder: %localappdata%\Programs\Enscape\Data\RevitFamilies\2022 and edit the “Metric Planting.rft” family. Change it to workplane based. Change the year in the path for different revit versions.

Now newly created families will be workplane based by default.
