bathroom HELP!!!

Hi , Please help before i chuck my computer out the window and jump out after it.

I am having real problems with this render, if i turn glossies off it renders totally black, image is OK if no reflections.
as soon as there are reflective elements it cocks up i cant seen to isolate which ojecct / materials are causing it, it may be a combinaton.

It looks like its going to turn out ok as the light cache is calculating but then it renders like there has been an ink explosion, which altough interesting isnt really the look im after.

it looks like the fresnel bug…i am sure there is a workaround for this on the forum somewhere…look for the blotches and lightcache in search…

Hi!

I would check first 2 things:

1} Color mapping. That exponential with those high values, especially in the bright one looks guility to me.

2}Check the wall and white material as it seems to be located only in these, both white. Try lowering the level of white to see what happens.

3}Render without reflections and see if it happens.

Hope it helps!

This happened to me once and I traced it to 2 things:

1) A vray material with both the fresnel box checked and a falloff map set to fresnel in the reflection map. Basically it was doing a double-fresnel reflection. Weird stuff happened.

2) A falloff map set to fresnel and I forgot to check the override material IOR. Make sure that box is checked if you use the falloff instead of the vraymaterial fresnel option.

Thanks guys,

i will check out if those suggestions work, i hope so.

Cheers

Thats it. Thank you.

NP. Glad you got it fixed. Post the final image when you’re done. From what I can tell, it’s going to look nice.
