Black dots in animation, Vray 3

Rendering an animation sequence.

I get crawling black dots throughout the sequence, particularly in the rug (Hair and Fur modifier)
but I also get them on the walls/other furniture sporadically.

My scene has a VraySun for direct light, and VrayLight (planes) directly outside the windows for skylight.
My lights are not using texture maps.

Brute force first bounce, Light cache secondary bounce and calculated on the farm frame by frame.

1-16 .005 Cook

VRay 3.00.03

I have tried rendering with/without embree and getting the same results.

Ideas?

I reported a while ago similar issue. Not sure if its the same but I was notiffied that with later builds it was fixed.

If this is indeed fixed in the new build 3.00.05, that would be great.

If someone could confirm the fix that would be great before we switch over.

Or, is there a changelog anywhere?

Please try the latest official build on the website, we fixed a number of similar issues.

Vlado

Will try it out. Thanks.

Edit: All fixed! 3.00.06 Thanks

We have the same/very similar problem here. Is there a 3.00.06 version available to download? I can only see 3.00.05 which we are running already and having the black dots with.

Cheers.

In that case, it would be best to get me a scene to vlado@chaosgroup.com to check it out so that we can put a fix in the next update.

Vlado

Okay. We will see if it happens with just the fur in a reduced file. It’s too big to email.

We can get you FTP info to upload it.
