Buildt 16th sept- ipr unusable sadly (cant even stop ipr render)

sadly the 100% extreme usage is even more in the newer corona build from 16th sept.

it ignores my thread settings in c4d corona preferences and uses 100%, so extreme that once the ipr runs i cannot change any value and even cannot press the stop render button(after time i was able to Stop the ipr finally)

this is on a dual xeon system, win 10 64bit.

pls fix the threading settings, it is impossible to us ethe ipr here on my machines

ok i found that when i turn of Optix for Ipr it works ok somehow, at least the exytreme cpu usage is gone and i can work.

  • hope this info helps solving this (optix is great denoiser for ipr)

Interesting, especially the Optix part. We will definitely investigate.

Hi, I couldn’t reproduce any problems on a dual E5-2699 v4 system. There was no freezing/stuttering and setting threads to 50% resulted in more or less 50% overall CPU usage. Everything worked with with Optix too.

Could you please try the newest Preview (currently 14.10) and let me know if there is some improvement? It includes some scheduling improvements.
