chaos cosmos white screen

Hey there
I have the following problem I hope you can help me with it
I can’t wait to try this new library but whenever I try to open chaos cosmos it opens as an empty white screen

Go to your download page and download the updated cosmos. It seems the specific donload is a newer version than the ones incorporated.

in the downloads page you get to download the software itself only
and the cosmo asset comes as part of it
and I did download the last version “Vray 5003 for Revit”

Similar issue for me as well, but within rhino 7.

redownloaded the vray for rhino file and everything was fine. maybe redownload your vray for revit and see what happens, hopefully that works. cheers

You’re right arch_mado. I cannot locate the download of the “standalone” cosmos now. Guess there is a reason they removed it. My bet is they have updated the main install files instead.

Same problem here… downloaded and installed the latest file several times. Running the latest version of Vray and license server.

Hi all,

You need to manually find and uninstall the Cosmos browser from Windows Add or remove programs panel. (Mind that during the beta, that service was called Chaos Cosmos Browser)
Once you uninstall it manually, reinstall V-Ray for Revit. This time, it will install correctly.

I installed the last Vray version on two different PCs and still have the same problem
looks like a common issue

I was advised the following and it worked!

1) Uninstall the existing Chaos Cosmos Browser program. On Windows, go to Add or Remove Programs, find Chaos Content Browser and click on Uninstall.
2) Remove any files from previous installations by deleting these directories (if they exist):
C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\Content
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\Content
C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Documents\Chaos Cosmos

Loving it so far!!
Only one issue, can’t get the default material library back. It was erased when uninstalling and can’t figure how to get it back!

Got response by Chaos Support. "Start Revit by choosing right-mouse-button Run As Administrator" easy fix!
