Coon Rapids Honda

I have two of these Honda dealerships to do. Here is the first one. I noticed a rouge curb and island in front of the service overheads; that’s tomorrow’s problem. Also, it’s a little over exposed. I’ll fix that when I fix the curb and island.

Railcone for the curb and Forest Pro for the cars, made the day. Of course, kudus to V-Ray.

Looking good, quite realistic even. What kind of 3D people are those? They don’t look all that bad.

Thanks. The people are the same I always use, however, the distance probably helps. RealPeople and AXYZ.

looking good!
maybe try a camera view from eye level just to see how it looks? (you probably did already…)

You know what? I thought the same things last night and I had plans to fix it today. I’ll post an update shortly.

great render! you nailed it! is the sidewalk a white texture? something specific? it looks really white and is that rail clone used for the sidewalk as well? i see some faceting going on, otherwise top notch stuff as usual

Thank you, sir. Yes, it is overexposed and I forgot to smooth out those curves when I was building the site. I am rendering it out now and I will post in about an hour. 4K in 20 minutes, got to love it! I used Railclone for the curb and Forest Pack Pro for the cars, which worked great. I have 4 Honda cars, 2 I purchased new for this projects, and I rendomized real Honda car colors with Forest Color.

Here is an update

4k in 20 mins, damm, i need to save harder! i think you made so many people jealous with this including me

That’s a nice time, but you have to take into consideration that this is not a very complex scene.

lots of reflection and a few hundred cars, not to shabby.

Really liking the render, but the road bothers me. Looks like it’s full of potholes. I know it’s supposed to be rain puddles, but it just looks too worn and imo it detracts from the quality of rest of the scene.

my comment would be - the glass in cars does not show through the back side, looks odd probably too low on refraction depth (thats just being a bit picky)

I didn’t notice, but you are correct.

The next one I’ll work on my not wet parking lots.

I was just fiddling with some car models yesterday. These cars usually have the window glass modelled as an open surface with no thickness. If you apply a glass material with an IOR of 1.3 say - you will get a weird crystal ball effect, as seen in the white car on the left foreground. Setting the IOR to 1 should fix it. Not a big deal though.

the new camera angle is definitely an improvement.
if you’re still tweaking, possibly drop the car on the r/h side down into the road a bit more? it looks a bit light on it’s wheels.

This is super picky, but I would get nailed at my office if I showed the curb and gutter the way that you have it shown. The edge of the curb at street level is supposed to be flush with the street, not raised the way you have it shown. Otherwise, nice stuff.

I am not sure I understand.

The edge of your curb and gutter is about an 1-2 inches higher than the pavement.
