The only remaning, known as of today, slowdown when “Loading Corona assets” is displayed is related to cloth/garmet maker in 3ds Max and has nothing to do with Corona.
An investigation done yesterday has confirmed this. Corona is just unlucky that during this long loading Corona assets is written.
As Aram wrote above, unfortunately getting stuck at “Loading Corona Assets” is not necessarily related to Corona. If you have a scene like this, please send it to us archived with all assets and we will find out what exactly is causing the slowdown: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Hi Maru
Im having this issue in a vray scene, im not using any kind of Corona assets, only a couple of maps (corona color correct and corona select)
I didnt have this kind of behavior before when using Corona Maps.
However I use assets that use Corona materials (they have been converted)
I always clean my files with Prune Scene and SiNi Forensic to clean some garbage, the first run it detected corona assets that was deleted and never showed again, but still i get that “loading corona assets” message when opening the scene
Could I send the file to you to go further investigations?
I have sent it Vray in the forum but I havent received any kind of answer
Sorry, I didn’t get it. Are you using V-Ray or Corona in your problematic scene?

Umm… The above message contradicts itself at least twice.
Could I send the file to you to go further investigations?
If you are using V-Ray, then the Corona forum and the Corona support team are not the right ones. Of course, if the V-Ray team finds out that the issue is somehow related to Corona, we will communicate internally.
The ticket #252693 seems to be related to another topic and it is already closed (“A call for help from Chaos’ Research and Development”).
As I explained before, please start a new support ticket, explain what exactly the issue is, and attach the problematic scene here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
I am sorry, but otherwise we will not be able to help you.
“Corona Assets” means anything that is related to the Corona plugin. If you would uninstall Corona, then those assets would not load at all, or would load as unsupported.
As far as I know, the option in Prune Scene only removes the missing HD/UHD Cache files and LUTs, nothing else.
I don’t think we need to discuss this any further. Once you submit the new support ticket, this issue will be handled by the dedicated team.
local IT dep confirms there’s network issues today, so that might explain my sudden issues
I’m having the slow loading of a scene (“loading corona assets”) appear again in V12hf1 max 2024. Is there a log/report or something stored after file open, where I can see loading time and name of the assets causing the issue?
Some of the assets are on a network drive, so could also be that. But the scene is taking several minutes longer to load than similar projects. Also scene parsing on last render was around 6mins - which I think is crazy, so something must be slowing it all down.
“Updating views” on scene load is also taking ages/seems to be stuck at 82% while I write this.
Unfortunately, no. If you send us a scene, our developers will be able to find out which assets are taking most of the opening time. You need special debugging files for this.
During parsing, assets are loaded into RAM, so it does depend on network/storage speed, yes. If you disable the “keep in RAM” option for a proxy, it will be loaded just once and kept in RAM.
