Maybe it was mentioned before - but couldn’t really find a answer on that.
I always had troubles with 3dsmax couldn’t find an available license since Corona 13 or 14 and i wasn’t sure what caused this, until i found out that each time i install a new corona version, it automatically installs a corona license server locally on the machine, despite during installation process everything was set to use remote-license server.
So in the end each running computer had its own license server installed and logging into chaos to get the account information. So sometimes my “remote license server” which i had set up was grabbing it, but sometimes one of the workstation was grabbing it and then the workstation i was working on looking for the license under the remote server didn’t got a free one.
It was until recently i found out that if i uninstall the “license server” on each workstation it works as it should be - just accessing the license information on the remote server.
Maybe there is a reason for this, or maybe its something odd during corona-installation, but if i choose remote license server, there shouldnt be a local license server installation happening.
I haven’t tried with the new “online-license-server” directly accessing to the chaos servers… but i thought this might needed to mention.
In the end i uninstall license server locally, after i installed a new corona version - each time.
