I was really happy with how this light fixture turned out. Finding out that crystal is not easy to replicate. Shiny, yet see through. Mixture of chrome and glass on inside and outside planes. Definitely could do some axis flips on the crystal components to keep it looking random all the way across.
The crystal pieces are actually made up of a bunch of different planes pointing in different directions. Think of a diamond cut. Then I mixed glass texture and mirror texture on all surfaces of it so that it gives you the illusion of seeing through it like you would in real life but also reflects back light when it comes across one somewhere in the room.
