Re: dark dots I have tried this several times and waited for up to 30 minutes. At first it seems there are still pixels generated but it just “freezes” after a while.

Re: dark dots I mean, if you have any material with some grade of transparency. In the diffuse layer we have an option called “transparency”, in the refraction layer we also have the same option. The default color for that option is black. if you want to make the layer 100% transparency you should…

Re: dark dots thnx for all your help, because of your reflection question I decided to try to render the graphic with the Reflection/Refraction checkbox unchecked. The result is still far from photorealistic but at least the black dots are all gone. Now I can finish applying al the correct material…

I’m not sure, do you mean the Reflection/Refraction checkbox in the Global Switches options? Is so, this is checked so I guess I’m using refraction.
