Hi, You did a great job with the denoiser: I am really happy with it, it’s a really great feature, thanks a lot ! The only con so far for me is that you can’t denoise render elements like RawReflection, RawGI etc … Only the RGB pass is denoised, or maybe I missed something ? Thank you,

Denoising a sequence with vdenoise really helps to stabilize the animation while keeping the details, compared to denoising each frame separately. God, I can’t wait to try this… -Alan

What you mean by denoise animations with frame blending or something like that in video for 3.4?

It means using the standalone vdenoise.exe tool. Because vdenoise.exe looks at several frames at once, it can do a much better job than denoising frames one by one. It can also help with other animation-related issues like shimmering due to fine geometry or textures. Best regards, Vlado

Does the vdenoise.exe tool require a particular file format to function properly? (eg exr or vrimg file?)

I’ve got a question about the built-in denoiser. When I render regions, my previous render in the VrayDenoiser element becomes all black. Why is that? All other elements in the dropdown list remain unchanged, only the VrayDenoiser element gets all black. Am I missing something? How can I make my pre…

Ah, ok. Until then, a temporary workaround for me is to render and piece together the different region renders from the VFB in Photoshop by CTRL+C and CTRL+V. Not ideal but works.

Sorry for the probably simplistic question, but how does the denoiser vary from your typical denoising function in Photoshop or AE? I love the results, I’m just curious if it is ‘talking’ to GI related data or render passes to keep things sharper? Cheers, Daniel
