Now that sketchup seems to have a more stable osx with version 26, I am very disappointed that Vray 6 doesn’t work on it. Our team purchased perpetual licences for the whole team and now we can’t use them on sketchup 26
I’d be tempted to stay with an older version of sketchup to be able to use v7, as 2026 didn’t improve/change that much.
I was in a similar dilemma using su2020 because of extension functionality, but then wasn’t able to use vray7, I thought I would upgrade to a newer sketchup and ended up with 2026. I was hoping that as vray was a plougin I could use vray 6 with sketchup 2020 and vray7 with su2026, but alas, there can only be one vray version installed at a time, so the version 7 overwrote v6. I noticed some improvements with 2026, but not so huge as to make it essential, so I would imagine that id your team is using 2025, 2026 isn’t going to be much of a noticeable upgrade?
Hi guys,
We do our best to support as many host application versions as possible. For example, the latest V-Ray releases remain compatible with SketchUp 2021.
Supporting newer SketchUp versions in older V-Rays, however, is a different matter. Doing so presents significant technical and development challenges, and it is not something we currently offer.
Regards,
Konstantin
