Hello there lovely Enscape Community,
My client would like his renders to have a resolution of 300dpi for printing purposes.
Is it possible to set Enscape screen resolution settings to match? I’m very bamboozled…any assistance is very much appreciated! <3
Thanks so much.
Cheers,
Manuela
DPI is just simply math… so you don’t ever really tell ENSCAPE to render at 300 dpi…
You do the math… 8in x 10in image @ 300dpi =…
8x300 = 2400 pixels
10x300 = 3000pixels
I need to tell enscape to render an image of 2400 x 3000…
I hope what @DGD-Duane shared is already helpful.
I was a bit confused about the whole DPI subject at first too, but it’s very easy to convert with some online tools or a bit of math. Let me know if you still want me to forward anything to our developers in terms of a feature request for example.
I’ll chime in… I do appreciate that ArchiCAD allows you to type in X" x Y" @ _____dpi and it figures out how many pixels…
The resulting .jpg is also saved at the dpi specified…
So… How does this convert to METRIC? everyone just has to work in INCHES for this? (dpmm???)

Thank you @DGD-Duane for the clear explanation. Very much appreciated
Demian Gutberlet thank you also for your response.
Cheers,
Manuela
Always happy to hear that, you’re welcome!
