Hello Enscape Community,
Since we specialize in fabricating complex wooden buildings using CAD/CAM software and CNC machines, we work with extremely detailed and accurate 3D models every day (Revit, Rhino, Archicad, Cadwork, etc.). We also want to create the best 2D and 3D renders of our buildings but wood, as an organic material, presents unique challenges. We want to find and work with the best users of Enscape working with wood.
Can anyone share project information, tips and techniques for using Enscape for wooden buildings (both interiors and exteriors)?
I searched online and found this article by Dan Stine @danstine @DanStine_TX of Lake & Flato, which was very helpful, Enscape Best Practices: Using Wood Materials and Textures - https://blog.enscape3d.com/best-practices-wood-in-architectural-design
We are building our catalog of single family homes we intend to fabricate and market directly to home buyers in the Western U.S. and we are also developing a “product platform” for parametric design of commercial mass timber buildings. We would like to connect with others who share our interest in prefab wooden buildings as well as interactive digital marketing. I appreciate any ideas, tips and suggestions you may have.
Here are some of our buildings as examples in an online presentation.
Thanks
Greg Howes
