Enscape not appearing on Sketchup 2023 or 2024 after installing none of the advice on these forums works!

I’ve been experiencing issues with Enscape not rendering right (materials, light, textures coming in different every time I rendered even though the settings were always the same) for the past few days, which led me to believe I should probably update it! What a massive mistake on my end thinking that a new version will actually solve bugs/errors.
I’ve spent the past two hours installing and uninstalling Enscape and it still does not appear on Sketchup 2023 or 2024. I have followed the suggestions highlighted on these forums nothing seems to work!

I have followed the steps highlighted in here : Enscape not showing in SKP 2024 no success.

I went back to a previous enscape version : Enscape-4.0.1.48 , installed it. It does not work.

I installed SketchUp 2024, reinstalled Enscape . It did not work.

Enscape has been very disappointing for the past year or so, unexplainable crashes, errors when trying to install but this time around it seems that it has fundamentally corrupted my whole system! This is very frustrating especially when I have a deadline that I need to meet next week.

Desperately looking forward for advice.

Regards,
Pol

Hey @PolShore ,
welcome to the forums!
This should certainly be handled by our support team. If you haven’t done so yet, as a first step please send in a support ticket by clicking “Submit a request” at the top right of this page:

https://support.enscape3d.com/hc/en-us/

I hope the team can help you quickly!

Re-run the installer, but right click and choose “run as administrator” That’s been a solution for me and my customers

Hi

Have got Enscape working yet? What did you do to make it work? Do you have a Mac?

Sketchup with all content and plugins is in the library under me as a user. Enscape puts itself in the library directly under the hard drive, the strange thing is that Enscape creates several SketchUp folders for different versions, even old ones that are uninstalled. In all these SketchUp folders there is nothing but Enscape.

I tried uninstalling Enscape and Chaos again and installing advanced and selecting the same library as SketchUp but I couldn’t select the library on my user so I put it under my user thinking it might find the right one. Enscape didn’t find the right one and went under me as a user.

I have been in contact with the support for 12 days now and it’s still doesn’t work. Now I try to book a new meeting but everything goes very slow.

Hi @Mimmi and welcome to our Forum.

Right away thank you for keeping in touch with our (Mac) support team - As you’ve likely just seen already, one of our developers will be further investigating the cause behind this problem and reach out to you accordingly for either a remote session and/or to provide further instructions as soon as they can.

At this point thank you for a bit more patience until we will get back to you again.

exact same thing has happend after our IT team moved us all to a new domain. my new profile loads sketchup and no enscape, there is a ticket already started, but wanted to also relate, that it did load into Revit 2023, but i started getting Revit file corruption errors. We have decided to un-install Enscape entirely and since have had no corruption or massive crashing errors in Revit.

We may be looking at another rendering package

uninstall enscape from add remove programs. right click and run as administrator on the installer. should be good to go

Hi @chris_castelein , we’ve received your further reply and info via support as well and it would be ideal of course if you could keep in touch with them accordingly - In the existing case you already mentioned you tried what’s been detailed in this thread (e.g. installing Enscape as an administrator after a clean uninstall) so we’ll investigate further here. As before you can expect a response back soon.

so, Enscape is now completely un-installed and no trace of it exists in the profile, and only a pair of Chaos logs remain.

This was in response to Revit now getting corrupt during normal work… well today it became corrupt again. So doesnt look like Enscape was the cause.

As per the ticket, it was suggested that i install an older version of Enscape, v. 3.5.6, downloaded and it would not install at all.

So great, dont have Enscape in either Sketchup or Revit and now my work files are getting corrupt.

not sure where to go from here… uninstall and re-install Revit and Sketchup? Wipe profile and re-create?

That is unfortunate to hear. If our latest release of Enscape generally does not seem to be the (main) culprit here and you experience issues with re-installing 3.5.6 (MSI error code 26532 as seen in the case) please also check out this article here which should help with that: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/25269157135377-What-should-I-do-when-receiving-an-unexpected-error-26352-during-installation

Should this procedure not help at all and you still see the same error code or receive a difference dialogue thereafter please also kindly let my colleague know via the existing case of yours so that we can investigate further of course. Thank you again in advance.
