Welcome to our forum! Sorry to hear you’ve been encountering problems with Enscape.

Unfortunately, the Intel graphics chip which you are using is not officially supported by Enscape. It may work on some chips with specific driver versions, but I recommend you use a different graphics card or switch to another machine. Intel graphics cards are just too slow for Enscape to run smoothly, though we are planning on improving Intel compatibility in the future.

I highly recommend running Enscape on a system with a dedicated Nvidia or AMD graphics card - have a look at our System Requirements for an overview on what graphics cards are being supported by Enscape.

Is there any difference if its a UHD 620, or is that still not enough to run Enscape?

I’m afraid, no Intel Chip is officially supported by Enscape what so ever. This may change in the future though, if the onboard graphics of Intel chips may become faster and offer more performance.

How to know if my video card works well with the Enscape program. The one I have is a Radeon RX580

Hi @Efragalicia_1

You can have look at our system requirements page to see what we recommend for GPU’s to run Enscape.

Your card does meet our system requirements.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Is there any chance of getting Enscape to run on the new type of integrated cards, Intel Iris Xe Graphics?

Not at the moment, not officially - but, this has been requested before and I’ve gladly forwarded it again for discussion.

Hello, do not wanted to creat new thread so will try to ask there as question is simmiliar but bit different.

I have laptop (Dell inspiron 7506 2-in-1) which have 2 GPU:

1st is integrated Intel Iris Xe

2nd is discreet Intel Iris Xe Max with 4GB of VRAM

But when I try to start Enscape in Archicad it shows error: Enscape encountered an errorduring rendering. It is using your GPU from Intel.

I have tried manually to set Enscape to start using dicreet graphics, tried all possible driver versions. Tried disabling integrated graphics in device manager but then Archicad does not start - says missing OpenGL.

Tried all possibilities and clues found when googling but nothing helps.

Maybe there I will get answer if it is possible to run Enscape on this laptop in some ways or it will not work because it is Intel GPU?

Thank you for your help.

Hi @KooGel

Welcome to our forum.

As mentioned by my colleague above, we do not support Intel graphics cards as seen on our System Requirements page here.

Only NVidia and AMD cards that meet our minimum requirements are supported.

I’ll also piggy-back this Thread - I didn’t see any others from recent times..

I bought a brand new computer system about a year ago. Pretty much all top-end components - at that time. The only exception, I was only able to get an Nvidia RTX 3070 video card (mine is the Asus ROG Strix). It’s worked well for AutoCad and Revit (Enscape). But I wouldn’t say I’m overly happy with it. I find it to be a bit sluggish on some heavier projects, and I’ve had my share of video crashes (where Enscape crashes, and often takes Revit with it). I also find that AutoCad will occasionally crash the video ‘hardware acceleration’ (where it basically errors, and shuts off that function - until I manually turn it back on).

I keep my drivers up to date, by the way.

My question..

Should I look into a 3080, or even a higher powered card? I’m curious what others are experiencing. Is 3070 to 3080 a big enough leap, to make it worth it? Or should I look higher?

I tried monitoring my GPU stats, to see what aspect is working the most - when I’m deep into a bigger project. I don’t see the dedicated GPU memory edge much more than 4 to 6 GB’s. But the 3D engine is often getting a solid workout. At first, I wondered if my 8 GB card was just a little too light - and thought maybe a 10 GB (or higher) card might help. But I don’t know..

Thoughts??

Hi Lyle – I would confirm that there isn’t something in your Revit project that’s causing Enscape to crash before spending money on a new video card. The 3070 RTX and the 3080 RTX are not significantly different in terms of performance. You could start by submitting a feedback report which will capture your machine settings. I would also recommend creating a Revit view with every category closed except for the category Model Objects. Be especially wary of linked 2D and 3D AutoCAD files.

Hi there, I was wondering if there’s any update regarding intel graphics cards and enscape compatibility?

I was sold a Asus Zenbook and assured it would work with enscape but the software completely freezes when I try to use. Spec below:

Thanks,

Intel Tiger Lake, up to Core i7-1165G7, 4C/8T

We do not (yet) support Intel onboard graphics I’m afraid. You can check out our dedicated system requirements here. If any questions come up regarding hardware (budget-wise etc.) or anything else, let me know!
