Error importing .vismat from downloaded zip

Hello
I downloaded zip file “vismat_material_collection” and tryed to import a materials (various) in Vray for Rhino. It says Invalid ASGvis material file. What is wrong?

where did you get that zip file? It’s not on our site is it? Also, what version of V-Ray for Rhino are you using?

I’ve get it from Vray.com and my version of vray is 1.00, maybe to old

wow, yeah 1.0 is WAY old… I’m surprised if you can find any vismats out there that are compatible with that. Did you know that upgrading to the latest version is free? All you have to do is download the version.

Also, VRay.com is just a reseller for V-Ray products, it’s not chaos group, or ASGvis.

Those materials in V-Ray.com are our materials we sent those material to them. The material was for the version 1.05 and up.

well that’s good, at least we gave it to them. I still like to clarify that vray.com is just a reseller though. Lots of people are under the impression that they actually make the product, which is absolutely not the case.
