Hi guys, where I can find tutorials to lighting exterior Scenes?
I only find n the web about interior scenes.

I want just a build ilumination, colud you help me?

the methods for interiors work more or less for exteriors as well. just dont use high multipliers.

getting started with GI

hey all,

I think I am missing one important thing with VRAY and setting up GI.

I can’t seem to get to the parameters that are discussed in the above tut and in the VRAY help.

I thought it was a matter of adding a VRAY Light?! but it doesn’t look like it is.

Can someone just point me in the right direction, please.

i didnt use a vray light at all in making it. vray lights have their purpose, i haven’t found that purpose yet, but they do something i’m sure. :smile:

which parameters are you having troubles with?

@SolPro - Do you have VRay chosen as the current renderer?

Yeh I have it as the chosen renderer (now) :slight_smile:

I am getting in the middle of the screen full of errors.

I could list them out but sheesh there are so many of them.

I am using MAX 4.2 Educational with the Vray demo? are there compatibility issues.

All I did was created a plane, a box and a sphere and rendered.

basically just do a search of the forum for overbright or invalid color or vRay warning, etc.

tons of info on this board and on http://vray.info , i would recommend browsing those first for answers and then if you dont find what you are looking for post a new thread.
