extravagent chandelier anyone?

Does any one have a model of a ludicrously extravagant chandelier?
These are development images of a work in progress - the current chandelier model isn’t dressed enough according to the client:



He’s after something like this:



anyone have any ideas? Really don’t have the time (or patients) to be modelling this. Anyone have any good model’s they’d be willing to share? Or a collection that could be bought?

just think, if you had started modelling it at the time you first asked for the model, you would probably almost have it done by now… :lol: :lol: :lol:

Seems like if you made a wee tear drop shape, put an optimize on it for faceting and then used the spacing tool to duplicate it along splines you’d be done fairly quick.

Isn’t that quite easy to model? I mean, you only need to model 1/8th of it or something and then rotate/copy 8 times.

think i better just dive in here.

There are only 24 hours in one day.
I have three major projects which all needed to be finished within a really really tight deadline, so i was absolutely up against it. I know i could have modelled it, but sometimes you have to look at a project and see what needs to be done and prioritize tasks.

I hadn’t even finished modelling basics of this scene (like some walls) so the chandelier was coming low down on the priority list compared to basic structure! These images above are only a part of the whole scene.
I asked here for some help because i needed to meet those deadlines.

As it happens, Tom182 sent me some pretty amazing models that did just that. This community really is pretty amazing sometimes, and i’m really indebted to him for doing this as the client loved it. So again, big thanks Tom182, you really sorted me out.
