my last illustration, made with C4D & Corona Renderer.
When I was a child my mom took me and my sister to the beach with a Fiat 126 of 1987.
I imagined that the car still exists and in the future I would have turned it into a flying machine.
This is an awesome project, but looks kind of WIP-ish, and could be easily improved:
-What immediately caught my eye were the lamps - they are too bright, and lack transparency. I would suggest to make them more glass-like (refraction), remove any diffuse component (just set it to pure black), and add some “worn off” effect by making then slightly yellowish. Then you could think about adding a layer of dust via the Corona Layered Mtl.
-Carpaint - I cannot imagine a car being so mat, not even an old one. Much more reflectivity could be used, and then it could be mapped with some dust/scratches map for the glossiness.
-The places where the yellow pistons are welded into the car body - there are just intersecting objects there. Definitely looks unnatural.
-Then the scenery and framing could be better. I would put the main hero slightly off the center of the frame, and add more dramatic, futuristic lighting - LightMix could help with that.
Those are just suggestions! I still admire your patience and the idea itself.
the lamps are deliberately opaque and not very transparent: I wanted to reproduce the effect of opaque plastic from too much exposure to sunlight…like this:
