I did a little gift - as soon as I click on GPU devices I crash on an empty scene in 18.460 and .499 Window 10 Pro Latest Studio Drivers 451.48 With the latest nightlies, I also tried a couple of early ones, same thing.

2. Here V-Ray GPU | GPU rendering by Chaos it says “Recommended NVIDIA driver for V-Ray GPU is version 445.87” have you tried with that version?

So it was my bad, I didn’t have the license installed. However, I do not think it should just crash it could give you a warning or something.
Definitely shouldn’t crash. I’ve reproduced and reported it.
