It might be the app, however, I can’t post using the Forum Runner App. I can read, and mark all read, but I can’t reply. A reply crashes the app.

Well, it’s been years I’d like to have a alternative as Forum runner is really old and not optimized at all for new mobile platforms.
Unfortunately, I’m not sure how this could happen.

Well, it “works” but it pretty bad in general, I can’t write a reply that does more than 5-6 sentences as it doesn’t scroll.
I use it as I really want to connect to the forum but if I wasn’t passionate as much, forum runner would make me stop connecting from mobiles.

It’s always worked fine for me. I think that they have to update it for IOS10; that’s when it started crashing for me.

After reading some posts over on the Forum Runner forum, it is abvious that Forum Runner is dead and isn’t being supported. Rumor is it was sold and discontinued. How about something that works? I think I read that 2/3rds of all people use their model device and not a desktop, which basically means 2/3 of the people can’t participate on this forum.

I use the browser on my phone all the time and it works great for me (I’m writing this on my phone too). I never saw much usefulness in Forum Runner, to be honest.

It’s not working on IOS 10, at least not for me. To access the forum, from my phone through a browser, is not good. It would be like using Facebook in your phones web browser and not it’s app, or any website for that matter.

Vlado, iPhone or Android? (lets not start a battle :p)

Having used both the app and the web page on a both iphone (6) and android (s7) I clearly see the benefit of the app mainly on iphone, on the S7 it’s less noticable because the sceen is 2560px where the iphone is only 1334 px

Android (Nexus 5, to be precise). I have very few apps installed in general, I even read my email through the browser.

I have forum runner on my small screen android phone, since the web version is almost impossible to use on a small screen. I can only browse with the app tho, it doesn’t work for posting. I’d love to see the forum updated to something a bit more multi-platform friendly.

Apple is going to boot them from the App Store. I just launched the app and Apple gave a warning that the developers need to update the app, it’ll slow down your iPad.

Forum runner running fine here on ios10. Really can’t image using the browser for vray forum

Since the upgrade, I can’t post any message with Forum Runner, it crashes as soon as I type 3-4 characters.
I’m 10 times less on the forum because of that as I can’t come once I’m on mobile anymore.

What do you suggest that we do, guys? We don’t write ForumRunner and we can’t do anything about it. We are stuck with vbulletin at least for a while longer, even though we are looking for potential alternatives. I don’t know if there are any plugins for vbulletin that make it more mobile friendly, but we can look into that?

I use tapatalk on another forum. That seems to support vbulletin. Not sure what’s involved, but a quick google search shows there’s a plugin to support vbulletin.

I like this forum. Then again, I only use it on PC.
I HATE the Area forum. Slow and not very pretty in my opinion

Seems now that the forum is https, forum runner app doesn’t connect for me any more. Any progress on getting a working mobile app available for the forum?
